This is a drawing of the International Folkboat (IF-Boat) 26, build by Marieholms Bruk of Sweden. This is the kind of boat you can cross the Atlantic ocean with! She is quite different from the modern more bulky 26 ft. sailboats: low freeboard and low superstructure (thus no standing headroom) in order to give the sails maximum exposure to the wind rather than the hull, and a long keel and 58% ballast ratio for optimal sailing performance and safety. This is a true sailing machine!
