EasyReg International, 2007 versions

Differences between the versions April 2, 2006, and April 1, 2007:

• The main difference with the previous version is that all the menus are now fully rescalable, and that wide-screen monitors are now supported. Moreover, numerous cosmetic and other non-essential bugs have been repaired, and the upgrade procedures have been improved.
• A new module has been added which allows you to create two and three-dimensional plots from files.
• The module COINTJ which conducts Johansen's cointegration analysis now allows you to test the joint significance of the VECM parameters, except the parameters of the cointegrating vector(s). The guided tour involved has been upgraded and extended accordingly.
• The miscellaneous modules are no longer included in the EasyReg setup; they can be downloaded separately.
• Finally, all the guided tours have been redesigned. The new guided tours can be viewed online.

Differences between the versions April 1, 2007, and September 12, 2007:

• April 7, 2007:
  The module DATATAB which tabulates selected data has now the option to create data files in EasyReg space delimited text format.
• April 10, 2007:
  The EasyReg upgrade modules have been upgraded once more.
• April 13, 2007:
  When you run the EasyReg main module EASYREG.EXE from CD or a network server, the network start-up module EASYREGN.EXE should be activated automatically, but this did not work. It does now.
• April 16, 2007:
  A nonessential bug in the Wald test option of the "What to do next?" module has been repaired.
• July 2007:
  If you have downloaded and installed EasyReg before August 22, 2007, the WWW menu items related to the Penn State and EasyReg web sites may no longer work, because the URL of the server has changed. To fix this problem, do the following. The EasyReg folder contains a text file URLHJB.TXT with the (former) URL of my web site:
  • "http://grizzly.la.psu.edu/~hbierens/"
  Open URLHJB.TXT in Notepad and change this URL to:
  • "http://econ.la.psu.edu/~hbierens/"
  Alternatively, run ERIPATCH1.EXE (See Upgrade EasyReg to the current version), because this self-extracting Winzip file now also includes a new version of URLHJB.TXT.
• August 22, 2007:
  One of the build-in critical values of the Johansen's lambda-max test was incorrect (the 5% critical value in Table 5). This bug has been repaired. Thanks to Marcel Priebsch for pointing this problem out to me.
• August 31, 2007:
  The EasyReg mirror site in Poland is no longer available. Therefore, the link involved in the WWW menu has been removed.
